Everything you need to know about Antsy — how it works, what makes it different, and where we're headed.
Using Antsy
Antsy is a daily 10-minute learning app. Each day you open the app, answer a short set of thought-provoking questions, and close it. That's all it takes. The goal is consistency — a small daily habit beats occasional long sessions every time. Over time, streaks build momentum, XP tracks your growth, and levels reflect your progress.
Questions are drawn from five categories: Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge, Civics & Society, Money Basics, and AI Basics. Each category is designed to build real-world thinking skills rather than test rote memorisation from a school syllabus.
A streak counts how many consecutive days you have completed your daily session. Streaks are visible on your profile and in the app so you always know how consistent you've been. Missing a day resets your streak, which creates a healthy incentive to show up every day — without pressure or punishment.
Sessions are intentionally capped at around 10 minutes. This keeps cognitive load low and makes it easy to build the habit — there's no decision fatigue about "how long" to study. Short, focused, and done.
XP (experience points) are earned by completing your daily session and answering questions correctly. XP accumulates to unlock levels, appear on leaderboards, and give you a visible sense of progress over time. Daily quests offer bonus XP targets to keep things engaging.
For Parents
Children build a consistent daily thinking habit, gain confidence through small wins repeated over time, and develop real-world skills that schools typically don't teach — like financial literacy, civic awareness, logical reasoning, and understanding AI. Progress is visible through streaks, XP, and levels, so growth never feels abstract.
Only 10 minutes per day. We deliberately keep sessions short so Antsy doesn't compete with family time or homework. The daily structure also means your child knows exactly when they're "done" — no open-ended scrolling.
Parents get clear visibility into their child's activity — streaks, XP earned, and level progression are all visible. A weekly personalised recap sent directly to parents is on the near-term roadmap, so you'll always know how things are going without having to ask.
Yes. Keeping Antsy accessible and affordable is a core part of our mission. We want every child to be able to build this habit regardless of their family's budget.
That's the whole point — you shouldn't have to. The app is designed so that the habit forms naturally through repetition and visible progress. No chasing, no forcing. Once the streak is alive, kids protect it themselves.
How We Are Different
Most learning platforms focus on what to study — syllabus coverage, exam prep, long video lectures. Antsy focuses on how to think. We don't replicate the school curriculum; we complement it by building the underlying thinking skills that make learning easier across every subject.
Traditional EdTech apps often require 1–2 hours of engagement and leave children feeling overwhelmed or burnt out. We believe daily consistency at a low dose is far more effective for habit formation than occasional intensive sessions. Shorter sessions also mean lower cognitive load, which actually improves learning outcomes.
No. We use percentiles rather than ranks. Knowing you're in the top 30% of your grade is motivating and informative without the cutthroat pressure of being "#47 out of 200." The goal is healthy competition, not anxiety.
Not quite. The questions are carefully written to be thought-provoking — they require reasoning and judgment, not just recall. The habit-first structure, streak system, XP, and levels are all designed to make daily engagement feel rewarding rather than like homework.
No — and that's intentional. Schools already handle syllabus content. Antsy focuses on the thinking skills that sit underneath every subject: logic, real-world awareness, financial sense, and more. These are the skills that compound quietly over years and pay off long after school ends.
Vision & Future
To build a generation of children who think clearly, learn independently, and grow with confidence — by making daily learning a natural habit, not a forced activity. We believe the most powerful thing you can give a child is the ability to think well on their own.
Habits are formed through repetition. When actions are repeated consistently, the brain creates neural pathways that make those actions faster, easier, and more automatic over time. A child who builds a daily thinking habit in primary school carries that advantage for life. We are not building an app — we are building a habit.
Two features are in active development: a weekly personalised recap sent to parents summarising their child's progress, streaks, and areas of strength; and a 1v1 Competitive Mode where students can challenge peers from the same grade in a timed head-to-head round. Both are designed to deepen engagement and keep the experience fresh.
We've designed it carefully. Matches are against peers from the same grade, keeping things fair. The format is fast and fun rather than high-stakes. And because the underlying habit is already built, kids enter competitive mode from a place of confidence rather than anxiety.
Once launched, parents will receive a short weekly summary — delivered by notification or email — covering their child's streak status, XP earned that week, question categories attempted, and any notable improvements. The goal is peace of mind through real visibility, not just raw numbers.
